Ella

Nine Arch Bridge: This iconic bridge is one of the most photographed landmarks in Ella. It was built in 1921 and is located in the Demodara Valley. You can walk across the bridge or take a train ride underneath it.

Little Adam's Peak: This mountain is a popular hiking destination in Ella. It is about 1,141 meters (3,744 feet) high and the hike to the top takes about 2-3 hours. The views from the top are amazing, especially at sunrise.

Ravana Falls: These waterfalls are located about 2 kilometers from Ella town. They are a popular spot for swimming and picnicking. The falls are said to be the place where the mythical demon king Ravana held Sita captive.

Ella Rock: This is a challenging hike that takes about 4-5 hours to complete. The views from the top are some of the best in Ella, and you can see all the way to the Knuckles Mountains.

The Blue Pool: This natural pool is located in the Ella Gap. It is a popular spot for swimming and sunbathing. The water in the pool is a beautiful blue color, and it is surrounded by lush green hills.

Ella Spice Garden: This garden is a great place to learn about the different spices that are grown in Sri Lanka. You can take a guided tour of the garden and learn about the different spices, how they are grown, and how they are used in cooking.

Dowa Rock Temple: This Buddhist temple is located on a hilltop overlooking Ella town. The temple is said to be over 1,000 years old, and it is a popular spot for pilgrims and tourists.

 Yala

Yala National Park: This is the main draw for most visitors to Yala. The park is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including elephants, leopards, sloth bears, crocodiles, and over 200 species of birds. You can go on a safari to see the animals in their natural habitat.

Buduruwagala: This is a group of rock-cut Buddha statues dating back to the 10th century. The statues are carved into a granite cliff and are some of the largest and most impressive in Sri Lanka.

Okanda Devalaya: This is a Hindu temple dedicated to the god Vishnu. The temple is located on the coast of Yala and is a popular spot for pilgrims.

Kebiliththa: This is a Buddhist monastery located in the heart of Yala National Park. The monastery is said to have been founded in the 2nd century BC and is home to some beautiful rock paintings.

Sithulpawwa: This is an ancient Buddhist monastery located in the southern part of Yala National Park. The monastery is said to have been founded in the 1st century AD and is home to some well-preserved ruins.

Magul Maha Viharaya: This is an ancient Buddhist temple located in the southwest part of Yala National Park. The temple is said to have been founded in the 1st century AD and is home to some beautiful frescoes.

Kataragama: This is a Hindu pilgrimage site located near Yala National Park. The town is home to a number of temples and shrines dedicated to the god Kataragama.

Bentota 

Bentota Beach: This is the main beach in Bentota and is a popular spot for swimming, sunbathing, and water sports. There are also a number of hotels and restaurants located along the beach.

Lunuganga: This is a beautiful estate and garden designed by the famous Sri Lankan architect Geoffrey Bawa. The gardens are filled with tropical plants and flowers, and there are also a number of water features, including a swimming pool and a lotus pond.

Brief Garden: This is a small garden located near Bentota Beach. The garden was designed by Bevis Bawa, Geoffrey Bawa's brother. The garden is filled with tropical plants and flowers, and there is also a small lake.

Bentota Turtle Hatchery: This hatchery is located on the Bentota River. The hatchery helps to protect and conserve sea turtles. Visitors can learn about the different species of sea turtles and see the hatchlings being released into the river.
