The Nine Arch Bridge, also known as the Bridge in the Sky, is a beautiful viaduct bridge located in Demodara, between Ella and Demodara railway stations. It was built in 1921 by the British colonial government and is one of the best examples of colonial-era railway construction in Sri Lanka.

The bridge is 91 meters long and 7.62 meters wide and has nine arches that rise to a height of 80-100 feet. It is made of limestone and granite and is supported by 24 piers. The bridge is a popular tourist destination and is often photographed by visitors to Ella.

The best time to visit the Nine Arch Bridge is early in the morning or late in the afternoon when the light is best. You can walk across the bridge, or take a train ride that passes over it. The train ride is a great way to see the bridge from a different perspective and to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the surrounding area.
